People Who Insulted Black Women’s Hair
We love Black hair. It’s beautiful and there’s so much to do with it. Whether you want to perm it, go natural or something else, your hair is beautiful. These people don’t seem to think highly of Black hair…and they should be ashamed of themselves. SMH. [bossip_ad_a]
Don Imus – He went in on the Rutgers basketball team, calling them “nappy-headed”…eff this guy. [bossip_ad_a]
Sheryl Underwood – She said she didn’t want ugly, nappy hair…what? [bossip_ad_a]
Wendy Williams – She said no one wanted to see Viola Davis’ natural look on the red carpet. Really, Wendy? [bossip_ad_a]
Rasheeda – She told K. Michelle to do something with her “nappy a$$ hair” during a scuffle. Good one. [bossip_ad_a]
Nicki Minaj – She dropped “Stupid H*e” about Lil Kim and it featured a line about nappy hair. Do better, Nicki. [bossip_ad_a]
Rihanna – She didn’t insult Black hair…she sure went in on someone who did, though. A commenter asked her why her hair was like it is and she said “cuz I’m Black!” [bossip_ad_a]
Lil Wayne – There was a rumor that Weezy said he only wanted light-skinned women with straight hair. Hmmmm…anyone ever confirm this was true? [bossip_ad_a]
Twitter – It was totally out of line the way Twitter went in on Gabby Douglas’ hair. Despicable. [bossip_ad_a]
Oprah – She wore “natural” hair on the cover of her magazine but it became an issue that her hair wasn’t exactly natural and was dolled up. Many with real natural hair were insulted. [bossip_ad_a]
