Breezy Yanked From Air & Ads

Pop the hood to read how Chris has been officially yanked from…well, everything…

As the district attorney is seeking more information on the alleged incident between Chris Brown and girlfriend Rihanna that occurred on Sunday in Los Angeles, the fallout from the story continues to impact both singers’ careers.

Brown, who was arrested and charged with making criminal threats after an alleged altercation that resulted in reported victim Rihanna sustaining serious injuries to her face, has already lost an endorsement deal with the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company. The company, whose Doublemint Gum ads with Brown ran during the Grammys on Sunday night, suspended the campaign earlier this week.

On Tuesday, reported that “Sesame Street” said it was dropping all future re-broadcasts of Brown’s August 13, 2007, appearance on the show. In the episode, Brown sang the song “See the Signs” and taught Elmo some dance moves.

And though it was unknown at press time if any other outlets were following suit, WAKS FM 96.5 in Cleveland announced that it yanked all Brown songs from its on-air playlist until further notice, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

“After the alleged incident the phones exploded,” WAKS nighttime DJ Java Joel said in a press release. “It’s all that people wanted to talk about. They were outraged at this alleged behavior and wondered why we were continuing to support his music. I agreed and immediately pulled all Chris Brown songs from my show until this thing shakes out in the legal system.”

Following Joel’s comments, station program director Bo Matthews reportedly decided to pull Brown’s music off the station entirely. “It appears that Chris has made some poor choices, we are following the lead of our listeners, and we will not be supporting Chris Brown on 96.5 Kiss FM in Cleveland until the alleged situation gets resolved,” Matthews said.

Brown’s campaign for the long-running “Got Milk?” series was already scheduled to end this week, but the campaign released a statement saying it takes the allegations against the singer “very seriously.” Brown has also bowed out of a number of events he was scheduled to attend at this weekend’s NBA All-Star game in Phoenix.

How can anyone pick sides? Either way they are both scared for life. What we need to do instead of playing the blame game is to embrace both of these youngs black teens. Let them both know we stand behind both of them equally and want to be there for them, showing love for both. SHe will be a victim for a while, whether she started it or nto she will blame herself. Trust I know first hand. He needs counseling more than ever. He has a magnitude of issues that jail time can’t fix. He needs to get some serious counseling and get tot eh root of his violence.

And like I said before we embraced Tupac, Kobe, Michael, R. Kelly and Mike Tyson. What makes them better than Chris who is still a child. SOmeone called him a grown man. He is still a teenager, nineTEEN.

You should never hit a woman in my opinion. But if a woman starts beating on a man, I guess that man has the right to defend himself and swing back. I wouldn’t do it. But I can’t take issue with another man swinging back at a woman who landed a few punches on him.

  • mostarstyle

    they both young and dumb..

  • jjj / Proud Jamaican

Bossip is wrong for this post I am not really choosing sides…it is just that Chris did a horrible thing so I want him to be punished, so that Rihanna can get some closure and justice.

  • alicia

No one deserves their ass kick but rihanna was def a go hard always trying to be by chris’s side she even cancelled concerts and parties just to be with chris and i saw it all in the body language that he was not really feeling her on that level any more. Before i say i am on Chris’s side i am curious to know what made him do that…Herpes?

Anyone who is on the side of a women beater, truly is the scum of the community…..period.

  • Frog-a-licious

I don’t really know. Everyone’s rushing to Rihanna’s side without knowing the whole story. So until then, no sides for me.

Ri Ri looks like a fesity little thing. I’m with Chris, how can you throw a lick and expect not to get one back, you are in the US of A. If a woman throws a lick like a man she should expect to get hit back like a man — and I am a woman!!!! GO Team Chris!!! This is ripping his career apart, she knows what she is doing.

  • justsaying

scum of the earth wtf???? Sometimes some bold women will make a man smack them up because they feel this is love.

  • iluvprada

Oookkkaaay… if infact they both were throwing blows then someone should have been the bigger person and walked the hell away before things got ugly! It is wrong ‘PERIOD'(male or female)!!!

Now if she started it, then he should have parked his car and left (and then later filed charges)…need I say more!

  • Ohsosexy!

I’m just happy bossip finally fixed that DAMN CIROC SHIT…

  • Mz_Magnificent1 AKA Thee Official Aaliyah Stan

Are you fyckin serious Bossip? Team Chris? Team Rihanna?

This isn’t just about two kids breaking up and bickering or saying ignorant non-sense about each other…this is about PHYSICAL/DOMESTIC ABUSE!!! I can’t believe ya’ll bytch azzez are treating this like a “Which One Would You Bang” topic…

Also I feel sorry for any young girls or young dudes that justify why Chris “beat” Rihanna.

    He gave her herpes…
    She was controlling…
    He wanted to leave her…

All this is some PR BULLSHYT…I can’t believe some of ya’ll are falling for this crap. Chris’s people are on this board right now putting out more rumors and defending Chris’s crazy lil abusive ass.

To all of Chris Brown’s PR folks and friends that are on this board…fyck ya’ll. Chris was DEAD-AZZ WRONG…point, blank, period. There is nothing GANGSTER or FLYY about a big azz lil nigga that beat a young girl’s azz…there is NOT A DAMN THING cute about abuse.

I hope Chris truly gets the help he needs before he ends up being a sicko like R “Pied Pedo” Kelly.

  • Junk

Wow, okay. Buncha girl beater supporters.

I’m on the Not Beating Women team. And any self-respecting woman should be. And if you’re not, I forsee a busted eye from a thuggish-ass nigga in your future. There’s no justification or provocation strong enough. Adults should keep their hands to themselves. And men should know that they are stronger and will be able to physically subdue a woman, so they already have the advantage. I’m bigger than most children and I would never hit them, not matter what they did, because I have the advantage.

No matter how clingy Rihanna is, that’s no excuse. Like, loving someone is offensive enough that you should get punched in the face for it? She’s young and silly; they both are.

Any man who hits a woman deserves an ass-pounding in prison. Any woman who supports it, deserves what ever she gets.
