That explains a LOT

Robin Thicke Says “Blurred Lines” Is About His Wife Paula Patton

The “good girl” Robin Thicke is talking about in “Blurred Lines” is actually his wife Paula Patton, the singer says.

“I don’t think people got it,” Thicke, 36, told BBC’s Newsbeat, according to the Daily Mail. “I wrote it about my wife … she’s my good girl. And I know she wants it because we’ve been together for 20 years.”

The racy song includes lyrics like “I know you want it/ But you’re a good girl/ The way you grab me/ Must wanna get nasty.”

The singer has been defending the hit single since it first debuted, garnering a lot of criticism for the lyrics some dubbed as misogynistic, and even “rapey” by one critic, but the backlash was especially heavy after his Video Music Awards performance with Miley Cyrus.

Sounds like some publicist came up with this explanation a little late, but who cares at this point, that song is STILL jammin’!
