Sometimes it takes our favorite celebrities fighting an uphill battle to realize that celebs are people too. Here are 9 celebrities who battled cancer.

Robin Roberts

In July 2007, Robin was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. She underwent surgery and treatment and shared her journey with the “Good Morning America” audience. Robin also battled a blood disorder.

Bruce Jenner

Bruce had surgery to remove skin cancer on his nose. Doctors attributed the cancer to sun damage, but he is doing well now.

Dr. Drew

In September of this year Dr. Drew revealed he had surgery to battle prostate cancer, which he’d been diagnosed with two years ago.

Robin Quivers

Howard Stern’s sidekick Robin Quivers revealed she was treated with radiation and chemotherapy for cancer that started in the endometrial tissue of her uterus. She is now cancer free.

Michael Douglas

Michael originally said he had throat cancer, but he recently revealed he had been diagnosed with tongue cancer. He lost a lot of weight and could have lost his tongue. Today he has a clean bill of health.

Roger Ebert

In April 2013 legendary film critic Roger Ebert died from cancer of the thyroid and salivary gland. Years before his death, in 2006, he lost part of his jaw which took away his ability to speak and eat.

Wanda learned she had breast cancer in February 2011 and chose to get a double mastectomy due to her family history of cancer.
