Shots were fired during homecoming weekend at North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, leaving one man wounded and prompting a brief lockdown of the campus, authorities said.

Devine Eatmon, 21, was found by police late Saturday on a campus sidewalk suffering from a serious, but non life-threatening gunshot wound, Greensboro Police Department said in a statement.

Police are currently investigating the incident and are looking for four suspects, three of which had dreadlocks. Each were reportedly armed with “handguns of an unknown type.”

The university’s website said a week of events for students and alumni led up to a homecoming parade, football game and homecoming concert earlier Saturday.

SMH. Ridiculousness during what was supposed to be a time of celebration.
