Guess he wanted to see what that ‘snakes on a plane’ life was about.

According to NY Daily News reports:

An alligator has been found living beneath an escalator at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.

Cops used a trash can to trap the snappy critter — between 12 and 18 inches long — discovered by maintenance workers Friday in Terminal 3.

Officers think a passenger took the gator to the airport by train but then dumped it after realizing it wouldn’t pass security.

Police are also investigating pictures uploaded to Twitter that show someone with a small-sized alligator on board a blue line CTA train headed to O’Hare.

“They probably realized they couldn’t take it through check point, and just let him go, but oh my God,” Tineka Walker, of Universal Security who first discovered it, told CBS.

The animal, which has stunted growth, is now being treated by the Chicago Herpetological Society.

“It was in pretty bad shape,” said group president Jason Hood. “We’re trying to get it healthy and find a place for it.”

SMH. Never thought we’d be saying this but… Poor gator.

We wish him a speedy recovery and hope he returns the favor by not eating any humans.
