Bethenny Frankel’s Talk Show Gets Cancelled
Despite her best efforts
and endless parade of black celebrity guests, former Real Housewives Of New York City reality star Bethenny Frankel’s talk show has been kicked to the curb.
Bethenny Frankel now has something in common with Kris Jenner. No, she did not help produce the Kim Kardashian sex tape.
Instead, the former reality star’s talk show has been canceled, with word coming down today Telepictures Productions.
“We are incredibly proud of the creativity, passion and professionalism Bethenny and her staff brought to daytime each and every day and look forward to finishing out the season with more great original episodes,” the company said via statemnt.
“While we are disappointed not to be able to bring the series back for a second season, we remain convinced that she has a unique voice and that she will continue to be successful in the future.”
Bethenny launched last fall and averaged a .9 rating this season. That figure ranked it 14th among all talk show, only above Arsenio, The Test and Trisha.
“I had a blast doing this show with Telepictures,” Frankel said in response to this news. “My entire staff worked so hard and made everyday so much fun. I am thankful for the experience and for all my fans who tuned in every day.”
Seems like these pop-up daytime talk shows are all having trouble staying afloat these days. Wonder who’ll be the next to go?
