Father Posts Photo Of Infant Daughter Holding Rifle Near Sandy Hook Shooting Site
A Connecticut father is facing much backlash from community members after he posted a photo of his 6-month-old daughter holding a rifle inside of a gun store which happens to be located roughly 20 miles from the site of the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that claimed the lives of 20 children and 6 adults in December 2012.
Christopher Duffy, who insists that his baby girl Genevieve “latching on” to the gun when he picked it up to test it during a visit to Woodbrige Firearms the weight prompted him to take & post the photo, told WTNH News that he doesn’t have any regrets about allowing her to hold the gun, claiming it was safety checked.
Residents expressed their concern over the infant holding the rifle while visiting the gun store with her father, which is ironically the same gun store where Sandy Hook shooter Adam Lanza purchased the weapon used in the shooting.
All things considered, do you find this photo alarming or are people overreacting?
