Oprah Barack Obama

Oprah Winfrey spoke Saturday at a campaign rally for Barack Obama in Iowa:

“This is very, very personal. I’m here because of my personal conviction about Barack Obama and what I know he can do for America. For the very first time in my life, I feel compelled to stand up and speak out for the man who I believe has a new vision for America. I understand the difference between a book club and free refrigerators. I understand the difference between that and this critical moment in our nation’s history. I believe that Barack Obama will bring statesmanship to the White House. I believe that he will lead with strength, conviction, honor and compassion.”

There was some Sambo on MSNBC the other day talkin’ down on Obama. His whole thing was that Obama was a poser and have to ask the establishment for permission and his charisma can only get him so far. Insinuating that he’s overstepping his boundaries and destined to fail. Wonder who the people are going to listen to him or Oprah.

Am I the only one that think the old civil rights guard is the one holding us back these days. It’s as if they don’t want us to achieve more than they did. Or if we go about things in a different way than they did than we’re wrong. smh.

    LMAO @ I Have A Baby Hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kendu and I are supporting Barack all the way. Its time for us to stand up and support an idealist rather than these populist, careerist politicians (eg. Hilary Rodham Clinton et al).

  • Devil's Advocate

    @ DDub

No, you’re not the only one who feels that way. The old civil rights guard is clearly threatened by Obama and by change in general. Their public attacks are embarrassing, IMHO.

    @ Observatrice

    Pourquoi?

  • Whatchaknoaboutdat?

If anybody can get both the black and white people to listen to him it’s Oprah!!!!

Go Oprah… use your god given power!!!

Oui, je comprends (I think). Whites (les blancs) are unlikely to let Obama win, mais non?

    Merci.

  • Whatchaknoaboutdat?

The Mighty “O” is always thinking ahead… if Barack can be considered a serious (black)candidate and Hilary a serious (woman) candidate then she (Big “O”) will be a shoe in for President some day. Go Oprah… I see what your doing!!!

    Oprah for Prez in 2012!!!

  • mzlynbkny

Oprah’s mouth aint no prayer book!!!!!!!!!!!Use your own discrestion. Just because Oprah is endorsing Obama that doesn’t make him qualified to do the job!!!!!!!!You see how see how she bigged up that Quack Ass Dr. Adams on her show……….. Need I say more!!!!!!!

Barack is the first legitimate Black presidential candidate in my lifetime. To see him and the most successful, self-made Black woman working together makes me feel good.

I’m saying… Some of the old Civil Rights heads are like animals that eat their young. Damned shame.

  • Atlchick

OMG Michelle looks so much like Oprah Winfrey in that picture. Wow. They represent such a good, strong black couple (and I love how they even dress to compliment each other).I love Barack and I think its bout time we had a black president. Someone gotta open the door. 30 years ago no one would have though a black woman of all things would be in the position Condoleeza is in now so its stupid for black people to say they won’t “waste” their vote on someone with no chance. He has a great chance

  • Umm

But Michelle doesn’t have the pull Oprah does…you know white pople LOVE them some Oprah!
