Dallas Men Charged With Rape Of 13-Year-Old Deaf Girl
Two young men are accused of raping a 13-year-old deaf Dallas girl while the wheelchair-bound mother of one of the suspects was nearby.
Jarvis Fisher, 19, confessed to cops that he and 20-year-old Lucas Martin sexually assaulted the girl in his garage, News 8 reported. Fisher’s mother, Lola Wrigley, told CBS in Dallas that she was in the house at the time of Tuesday’s alleged attack.
“Don’t you think I would’ve heard it — if she would’ve screamed,” Wrigley told the network. “I would’ve heard it. I can’t walk; I’m not deaf.”
Cops said the victim met the suspects at a park. The girl was unable to speak, but communicated with the suspects by texting them.
The three of them went together to Fisher’s garage. According to the police, the two men asked the girl for sex, and she refused. The suspects then forced themselves on her, authorities said.
Fisher and Martin, who then took the girl back to the park, were later arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
