Jay Z is a businessman. And being a businessman means you have to break some eggs and make people angry. Jay Z has definitely made people angry. Here are some of his former friends that fell out with Hov and had nasty break-ups.

De-Haven Irby – They were drug dealer bros but De-Haven and Jay fell out over whose story was truer. Things heated up again during the American Gangster album when Jay mentioned him by name.
Jaz-O – Jaz brought Jay up as his protege and everything seemed fine. Then they fell out and it hasn’t been the same since.
Dame Dash – These two were inseparable. Best buds and business partners. However when Jay wanted to part ways and do his own thing, it all went terribly downhill. They seem to be on better terms now, but it’s not like it was before.
Beanie Sigel –He stuck with Dame Dash and started clapping at Jay, which led to Jay responding on wax about being stabbed in the back.
DMX – He and Jay did songs together but DMX hated how Jay ran Def Jam and things fell apart after that.
Foxy Brown – Her and Jay had a falling out through the course of their careers but they’ve made peace and are on good terms now. Awwww.
Lil Wayne – They rapped together and Wayne almost signed to the Roc, then he wanted to kidnap Beyonce or something.
Drake – They’ve had a weird bromance that seemed to come to a head when Drake clowned Jay Z’s art collection as corny. Are they beefing now? Who knows.
Timbaland – He discussed a falling out with Jay as well but they patched things up in time for Timbo to work on Jay’s latest.
