LaTavia Roberson was 1/4 of the group Destiny’s Child which we know already. Now she’s trying to establish herself as an solo artist and bounce back from years ago. After ten years out of the spotlight, the singer is finally speaking her truth. The “R&B Divas: Atlanta” star recently discussed her departure from Destiny’s Child, if she has any regrets about leaving the group and those pesky skin bleaching rumors. So on the skin bleaching she said. “People running around talking about I bleach my skin [laughs]. You know, I don’t know if it’s the blonde hair. But what a lot of people don’t know is that I used to—I’m a big, big, big, huge fan of tanning. I love to tan because I love the sun. I love the water. And once my mother got diagnosed with breast cancer—it was something that we used to do together—I definitely stepped back from that and I don’t tan as much.” She also had things to say about how she joined the group and if he’s bitter towards them. LaTavia also said, “One of the biggest misconceptions that I think people have about me is that I’m bitter about what happened with Destiny’s Child—and even that I’m bitter towards Mathew—it’s not that. It was business, totally. I would never trade anything in my life for my experience and my time with Destiny’s Child… ever, ever, ever in my life.” “I was in the group that became Destiny’s Child, but what a lot of people don’t know is that I was 7 years old when I tried out for the group. It was an open audition. That was the day that I met Beyoncé. “I met Kelly in elementary school. She was in the 5th grade, I was in the 4th grade and that was about five years later after we did those auditions. Then another year later, Beyoncé met LeToya in school and then it became us four.”

Cee Lo Speaks On Whether Or Not He Regrets That He Had To Pass On Pharrell’s “Happy”

“Happy” is a song performed by American singer and producer Pharrell Williams from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack album. It also serves as the lead single from Williams’ second studio album, G I R L. The song was written and produced by Williams. It came out in November 2013, alongside a long-form music video. People all over even started making their own happy video. The song was reissued on December 16, 2013, by Back Lot Music under exclusive license to Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music. “Happy” is a neo soul and funk song on which Williams’ falsetto voice is comparable to Curtis Mayfield. The song has been highly successful, peaking at number one in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, and 19 other countries. It has sold over 1.3 million copies in the United Kingdom, and has reached the summit on three separate occasions. The song is great and fits Pharell but we didn’t know is that it was suppose to be for Cee-Lo Green. Knowing Cee Lo’s voice and what he’s capable of, a lot of people were saying that they would have loved to hear his version of the hit song. Pharell even said, “[Cee Lo Green] wanted to do it…and he did do it. He burns my version! But, how do I say this diplomatically? The powers that be, at the time, did not see it fit for him…they elected not to do that song.”

Colin Kaepernick Addresses 911 Calls, Rape Allegations Via Twitter [Photo]

Last month, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick found himself embroiled in legal struggle after allegations that he and fellow NFL players were pegged in a sexual assault incident. Now that 911 calls from that night in Miami have been released, Kaepernick says he’s “glad” that details are beginning to emerge that will vindicate him. Kaepernick took to Twitter, as he had before, and wrote the following: “On 911 calls, I’m glad the truth is getting out. Info that came out earlier was totally wrong. I look forward to this matter being resolved.” TMZ Sports obtained the 911 calls of the two days ago, which reveal that a man who is assumed to be a security person talking to the dispatch about an unnamed naked woman inside the Viceroy Hotel. A second caller, identified as Seattle Seahawks player Ricardo Lockette and one of the listed suspects in the case, said that the woman was waiting on someone and refused to leave. “There’s a young lady in my friend’s bed,” the caller said. “She says she’s not leaving until she sees him. … No, no, he’s not her boyfriend. He’s someone she wants to sleep with.” That someone is largely assumed to be Kaepernick. The woman says she passed out and woke up in a hospital much later. There have not been any charges regarding the matter, and a local news station has learned that preliminary testing found no DNA evidence at the scene although the woman claimed Kaepernick had his way with her after a night of boozing and pot-smoking.
