Beyonce and Jay-Z may have skipped the KimYe wedding ceremony, but Wests did have one thing in common with the absent Carters on their big day: their wedding song.

During her visit to “The Today Show” earlier this week, momma Kris Jenner revealed that Kim got the surprise of her life once she made her way down the aisle & realized that Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli was present and singing “Ave Maria”.

Beyonce re-made the song (originally created by Austrian composer Franz Schubert) for her I Am Sasha Fierce album back in 2008 and has gone on record saying it holds special significance because it was the song she walked down the aisle to on her wedding day with hubby Jay Z.

Kanye West found a way to surprise Kim Kardashian, even as she was walking down the aisle, and the result was the bride letting out a little scream. The bride’s mother, Kris Jenner, explained in a new interview why her daughter was so excited that she just couldn’t help losing her composure.

West planned a special surprise for his new bride, and the surprise was so moving that Jenner said when she saw her daughter’s face, she burst into tears. Kim Kardashian thought that she was walking down the aisle to a recording of Andrea Bocelli singing, but when she looked up and saw the famous tenor singing live, she was so surprised, she actually screamed with excitement.

When Kardashian walked down the aisle, Andrea Bocelli sang Ave Maria. Throughout during the ceremony, the superstar tenor also serenaded the rapper and the reality star with several more songs. Bocelli sang some of his biggest hits including, Con te partiro, which translates in English as, “With you I will leave,” or another translation is, “I’ll be with you forever.”
