Dr. Oz Talks About How To Maintain Natural Nappy Hair

Via Recapo reports:

He showed that to go natural when it comes to your hair means to embrace your natural texture, say goodbye to relaxers and chemicals, and be comfortable in your own skin.

One viewer decided she was ready to go natural with her hair saying she was “tired of the cultural stigma of nappy is tacky and straight is great.” She said she wanted to have healthy hair and all the chemical processing and heat damage is not only tiring, but incredibly unhealthy for her hair.

She decided to do what is called “the big chop” in order to get natural, beautiful textured hair.

The first step of the big chop is to make the decision to do it. The second step is to pull your hair up into a band, nice and tight. Third, take shears and just across the hair above the ponytail. You will see that your hair immediately looks better and more healthy. Dr. Oz even showed the section of hair that the viewer cut off, providing a visual for the different between the damaged hair on one end and the healthy hair on the other end.

What do you think of Dr. Oz talking about natural hair??
