Dead Woman Found Decomposing Inside Car Parked At Walmart

An investigation is continuing after a woman’s body was discovered inside a car in the Walmart parking lot in Elkton on Wednesday — approximately three weeks after she died there, police reported.

“It doesn’t appear to be foul play,” said Lt. Joseph Zurolo, an Elkton Police Department spokesman.

Investigators declined to release the name of the woman, as of Thursday morning, because they still were confirming identification found inside the vehicle, which had a Delaware license plate, Zurolo said, adding that the woman is believed to have been 37 years old.

Because of the ongoing investigation, Zurolo declined to say if the woman had been reported missing to authorities.

A groundskeeper found the woman’s body about 3 p.m. on Wednesday while mowing grass near a holding pond on the outskirts of the Walmart Supercenter property at 1000 E. Pulaski Highway, adjacent to the nether reaches of the store’s parking lot, police said.

The groundskeeper found the woman’s body in the back seat of a 2002 Chrysler Sebring, police added.

According to the story, the woman parked at Walmart on May 29th, got into the back seat, and never left. No word on the exact cause of death.

Like there aren’t already enough reasons to hate Walmart…
