According To NY Daily News reports:

An unhinged homeless man armed with a knife demanded to be let into ABC’s “Good Morning America” in Times Square Tuesday morning and said later he wanted to kill the Hall of Famer-turned-TV darling, sources told the Daily News.

Security men told Andre Johnson, 25, to take a hike when he first demanded to see Strahan, authorities said.

But Johnson returned with a knife — and tried to stab a security guard with the blade.

He was rebuffed and quickly arrested by cops, officials said.

Johnson was taken to the Midtown South stationhouse where he chillingly told investigators: “I was there to kill Michael Strahan,” law enforcement sources said.

Johnson was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing, officials said.

According to reports, the man never got anywhere near Strahan.

We’re glad he’s safe and this guy is off the streets, but it’s clearly indicative of the mental health crisis going on in America. Sounds like homeboy needs help — not shackles. We hope he is able to get some proper care for his illness.
