Mendeecees’ Brother Sentenced

While Mendeecees is free on bond and enjoying time with his children and fiancee Yandy Smith, his co-defendant who also happens to be his brother just got sentenced to time in the bing.

Democrat & Chronicle reports:

The brother of VH1 celebrity Mendeecees Harris was sentenced Monday to five years in federal prison for his role in a drug conspiracy.

Authorities allege that Mendeecees Harris, now free on a $600,000 bail package, and his brother Tyrus were part of a network that transported cocaine from New York City to the Rochester region.

On Monday U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr. sentenced Tyrus Harris, 36, to five years in prison. Harris had a minor role in the conspiracy, authorities allege. He pleaded guilty in March.

Mendeecees Harris, who stars in the show Love & Hip Hop NY, is scheduled to return to federal court in October. He has pleaded not guilty.
