Sam Smith Finds Out Racism Exists In 2016
It’s really amazing how oblivious to racism some White people can be. Privilege is the ability to not even know racism exists for most of their lives. Of course, this requires them to be willfully ignorant of a lot of things, but, hey, who are we to judge? Sam Smith is the latest White person to not even realize the privilege that he functions within as he recounted a moment his friend experienced racism.
Notice anything? Well, for starters, he didn’t even know racism still exists? What? He’s surprised? Did he think racism was like a UFO or the Detox album? No, buddy, it exists. Naturally we had some questions and jokes for his Twitter “revelation.”
