Trey Songz nearly got himself clapped-up by cops in Atlanta last night…and it was all due to his slick-ass mouth.

It all went down backstage at Philips Arena on Saturday night, as Trey showed up for Hot 107.9’s annual Birthday Bash concert. Trey had arrived and was readying himself for his surprise performance with Jeezy during the headlining set of the night.

The restricted backstage area requires all approved guests to wear a special wristband signifying that they’re cleared to be there. A member of Trey’s team didn’t quite have his on yet — likely just holding it in his hand — and a nearby female police officer let him know that he’d need to put it on.

Apparently that’s when Trey flew off the handle. Our sources say Trey got SUPER disrespectful with the cop, started yelling, and eventually ended up calling her a “minimum wage-making b*tch!”

Just as the officer was about to grab Trey and further escalate the situation, a member of the radio station staff quickly shot over to pull Trey back and smooth the situation over.

Whew! Sounds like Trey was seriously about to get himself caught up last night. We wonder why he was so on edge and ready to curse out a cop???
