One of Jay-Z’s songs have been re-released and turned into a Yankee’s team theme song. We know Jay-Z is the ambassador for all thing new york but damn. Flip the hood to find out which song the Yankee’s are using to describe their team.
Run This Town has been made the theme song for the Yankee’s and revamped to say “The Yanks gonna run this town tonight.” The song was originally a spoof that was made by NY mega station Z100 but after they got massive reposes to play it again, it was taken more seriously. The radio station hopes that Jay will eventually sing the song himself and help to amp up Yankee fans around the world.

Jay has been a yankee fan since he came out of the womb. He has put them in his rhymes in several songs. I’m pretty sure he feels flattered by it and as a native new yorker and die hard yankee fan I happen to love it! I hope they play empire state of mind when we win the world series!
