Ja Rule main

This may be a surprise to kids out there, but there was once a time long ago when Ja Rule was more than a punchline. In fact, he used to be one of the biggest music stars in the world. Now, all he is a once-famous rapper that’s on his way to the clink.

One day there will be a movie about his epic decline. Until then, here’s our retrospective on the career of Ja Rule.

  • Hannibal

    • E.C. from D.C.

I almost never agree with Hannibal but co-sign on all points buuuuttt I think his career was going down when he started rap-singing.

    • Kyra

My friends told me about — MeetBlackwhite. C’ 0- M —–told It’s the best place to meet black white singles. Come in and stay a while. Complete your profile. Post a message, a picture of yourself and check out the photo galleries.

Give it a try, you will find someone you like there… ;)

    • Bunny(formerly Angel/UrHeiness)

LOL word! I actually still listen to some of J’s music every now & then since it’s of ALOT better quality than some of the garbage out now… however 50 really did kill his career but 50’s career is pretty much dead music wise that is because he’s still doing acting as well as ventures in other business deals.

  • this is it

Say what you want about Ja, he had everyone singing his songs but 50 he came in and just… killed it.

  • Fishy

Anyone else find it funny that Suge and Vanilla Ice are in a photo together, especially since that whole rooftop incident in the early 90’s?

    • Bunny(formerly Angel/UrHeiness)

Not aware of the incident but I did find it amusing for Vanilla Ice to be in the pic lol.

I used to dig him to back in the days lol..

    rotff at the picture #2

    • that damn sh#$ disturber

      same here…

  • d.

50’s career is rock bottom at this point. I think that they both are wack. Real hip hop is dead.

  • Dummies

Ja will always have my respect. At least he “sold” and was successful due to his music and not puttin the next man down to succeed.

I tell you what…..I bet the Game would pick Ja today over 50’s wack azz!

-Ja is a better rapper Too!!

    • Chyna

Ja did a have the ladies buying his CDs.

  • sheezdatruth

well damn!! that is sad. At least when you hit rock bottom you have to seek god to get up…he will be okay.

  • 100milesperhour

So he took the picture of him handcuffed to a table?

    • 100milesperhour

So who took the picture of him handcuffed to a table?

  • Timothy Tim

He was just DMX Lite. He played himself and that’s why he’s where he is. He shoulda invested in his own career instead of trying to start beefs to stay relevant.

  • Marsonis

U know thinking about it though it really is kinda sad how all these new rappers seem to show 0 respect for the prev generation…regardless what the previous rappers became they should still be respected and if anything you *cough* 50 cent *cough* should have used what happened to Ja as a warning about what could and ultimately has happened to you but thats alright 50 you keep hanging with that pitbull Chelsea we realize now thats the best you can do….

  • bigmeech

did anyone read?? wat he wrote on twitter lol

  • thad

man i’m listening to Rainy Dayz now……he shoulda stuck with Mary J. and maybe his career wouldn’t have tanked

  • http://u bklynlady

I’d perfer Ja over 50 ANY DAY!!! think about all the hits! He even wrote the hook to *can I get a* the Jay z song with him and Amil

  • johnny_flaco

what the f…Suge almost killed vanila ice once upon a time…dang I’ve heard of being forgiving but that’s ridiculous…
