RihRih Says Beatdown Gave Her Liberation: ‘I Needed That In My Life To Know How To Say Fawk Off!’

Rihanna says “the incident” lead to her liberation:

“It actually gave me a lot of liberation,” she says. “What I mean is, I was able to tap into the personal part of my music. I started to tell stories through my music that were actually my stories. My album before that, there was still a little bit of protection, there was still an innocence to me. And what that time in my life did was kind of wake people up: It’s not all a bed of roses. My life is like yours.”

“It made me look at the world in a much bigger way because my life was suddenly superduper magnified; all eyes were on me. I needed that in my life to know how to say, ‘Fizzuck off.’ To know how to keep my head high even in the worst of situations. I keep using the word unapologetic. But there’s a freedom that has come with all of that. Where you feel like you don’t have to make an excuse for being yourself.”

oh bs rihanna the only thing that beat down did was give you a black eye

  • itsbrittneybitch

I’m tired of hearing about her beating. But I know shes gonna ride that coattail for many more years.

Yeah, I’m wondering why this is still news. It was unfortunate, but we’re now 2 years in…Chris paid his dues, and is now trying to bounce back, and Rihanna has reaped more fame in the process of this whole mess. Life is short; let’s move on.

WTF is she actually condoning this. black women are the biggest suffers of domestic violence. and shes making black women look retarded.

    Y’all jealous h..o..e..s  grow up

  • JustAshley

I don’t think she’s condoning this. I think she just learned from it. At least I hope she has…

Sidenote: I told ya’ll she had major daddy issues. Its why she acts all hyper-sexual and dresses super provocative.

Getting your @ss whooped liberated you…

As much as I want this topic to go away, it won’t. The funny part is that both of them are trying to keep the situation relevant by always screaming and whining about how they’ve moved on from it. Ohhhhkaaaaaay. The whole world and everybody in it except you two have moved on (excluding the Rihanna stans and Chris groupies). Both of them need to get together and just f*ck so they can stop being babies.

i’m tired of hearing about it, but maybe it will take time for her to get over it. p.s. she looks great

Just when Chris Brown thought his past is dead and buried, it comes back from the grave to haunt him. This is not going to end well. I see Ike Turner 2. What a shame, he is talented.

She is the one that got beat she can talk about it if she wants. A lot of people are acting like she is in the wrong. Come on now aside from RiRi and Chris B and them being celebrities its a serious thing and can follow you for the rest of your life.

If one of you women got beat, you wouldn’t want someone telling you,_just stop talking about it!

    • VirgoJewel

I personally, know several abuse victims- even one whose man beat her and left her wit and a incurable STD and even they don’t talk about that shti as much as this broad do.

    • nonymoussss

i actually agree.VirgoJewel. if there is one person i know who was a victim of DV. its my Mother. and she does not/never talked abut it. even today, now that i’m an adult. she just wont discuss it with anyone. so it does make me wonder why she(Rhi) feels the need to discuss it so much, or ever. most times privacy is an issue in situations like this.or simply just trying really hard to distance your self from the situation that happened 2 days, 5 months. 2 years ago… the fact that she responds to any question regarding the “incident” at all, is very interesting… i’m not judging her. and just like must sensible human beings, i dont condone what happened. based on what “we know”…but like someone above said. her fame has benefited more from this than ever before. and this is what she is riding/milking to get to where she is going. its pretty sad and just lame. again another person said. the other women who are part of the statistics are not being given interviews and being recognised single handedly because of “their incidents”…its pretty irritating. i wonder whos lips Rihanna’s name would have been on, if 2 years ago didnt happen…

I wonder what her a$$ looks like in that dress she’s wearing on the cover… Seriously, I do… I know she doesn’t have much of an a$$ but I believe it would look good in that dress…

Hmmm, wear would you wear something like that???

    Just thinking out loud…

  • wtf!

So tired of this sh!t! Every day, every hour, every minute, even as i speek a woman is been abused by her husband, her boyfriend, her partner. They are the nameless, and they will not get an award for woman of the year. When are we going to stop acting as if Rihann, is the first and only woman ever been abused by her boyfriend? Don’t get me wrong I don’t hate Rihanna, it’s been two years now..are they (CB /Rihanna) to ride this for the next five years? Unfortunatly, this a$$ult has giving her more fame than her music. Sad but true.

By no means do I condone abused. And yes she was the one who was attact, and she’s the one with the scars. But at some point in their lives they have to move on. How long should the public throw her a pitty party? I throw her a pitty pary for a hole year. Now I am done.
