Looks like money can buy you love — from the courts at least. Usher has successfully wrestled control of his sons Cinco and Naviyd from their mother Tameka Raymond.

According to TMZ reports:

Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Raymond just lost in the former couple’s bitter custody battle — TMZ has learned, a judge has awarded Usher primary custody of their two sons.

It’s a shocking development — considering both sides were trying to strip each other of custody. Tameka felt the singer was an absentee father who was too absorbed in his career to be a good dad. She also accused him of using drugs in front of the kids.

Usher argued Tameka was inattentive and irresponsible.

The ruling marks the end of an emotional custody trial — involving wild accusations and name-calling … Usher even broke down at one point on the witness stand.

But today, we’re told a judge sided with the singer — awarding Usher primary custody of the ex-couple’s two sons, which means the children will be spending the majority of the time with their father.

Tameka still retains some custodial rights — but the extent to which Tameka will be able to see her kids is unclear.

SMH… It just doesn’t seem right to take two little boys from their mother, who just lost a child and have them raised primarily by a father who is always on the road and legendary for womanizing.

Here are more details from Straight From The A:

A decision has reportedly been written where Usher has been granted “parental control” of the kids (meaning he gets to call all the shots), while the couple will maintain joint custody.

Let me say that this means that Usher will be able to legally make all the decisions regarding his sons, including when and where Tameka can see them.

Many feel that Usher’s money and influence was a prime factor in the judges decision and it’s clear that Tameka can’t win a battle against a man who has that many “fans”.

As her attorney stated during closing arguments… it was all “the Usher show”… one big performance where he (and his team) totally manipulated and controlled each and every aspect of the case.

SMH… What’s sad is there was never any evidence presented that showed Tameka Raymond isn’t a good mother, or even that Usher is a better parent than her. But as evidenced by the number of friends that turned against her to testify for Usher, clearly people can be bought.

We just hope the judge isn’t one of them, because that would be mighty low.

We’ll continue to update this story as more details emerge.
