Trey Songz Speaks On Beef With August Alsina
Talented R&B new comer August Alsina has made a name for himself over the course of the last two years and the recent release of his debut album “Testimony” has been met with rave reviews, but he’s also been making headlines for other reasons. Earlier this year, August shocked fans when he revealed a rift in the relationship between he and fellow R&B crooner Trey Songz in multiple interviews.
As August continued to throw public shade at Trey and put the details of their beef on blast before infamously sending the message that he was done speaking about it on 106 & Park, Trey never once clapped back or even addressed the issue….until now.
He had this to say when asked about his beef with August during a recent interview with Capital Xtra radio.
On his beef with August:
August is like a little brother to me. You know what I mean? I took him on early in his career.
We had a discrepancy and he didn’t know how to deal with that. He hasn’t been in a situation where he has to answer the same question a million times. That’s frustrating so you know, I believe he spoke and said some things he didn’t really mean. Out of pressure.
I really care about him. I mean, he got a lot going on in his life, outside of music. And I know that about him.
Trey also cleared up why he didn’t respond initially to August going in on him in several interviews and what the status of their friendship is now. Hit the flip to hear what else he had to say and peep the interview clip.
