Lamar Odom Dropped By The Knicks For Failing To Meet Requirements

According to US Weekly reports:

Lamar Odom’s future in basketball isn’t looking too bright. Khloe Kardashian’s troubled ex has been dropped by the New York Knicks after failing to meet the team’s necessary requirements.

“Unfortunately, Lamar was unable to uphold the standards to return as an NBA player,” Knicks president Phil Jackson said in a statement on July 11. “We found it necessary to free up the roster spot.”

Sources tell Us Weekly that Odom’s athletic career has taken a downturn in recent years, and he doesn’t appear to be rededicating himself to the sport after Kardashian filed for divorce in December 2013.

“There was a lot of hope there when he had his first initial talks with Phil [Jackson],” an insider tells Us. “He gave him a real shot. He kind of threw this one away. He wasn’t in it. He’s not doing great. Admittedly, he’s had a couple rough hands dealt with the family and the Khloe situation being pretty frequently thrown in his face.”

Another source said Odom might have reverted back to old habits.

“Everyone was hoping that what went down with Khloe would see him rededicate himself to training and getting in shape for the season but he seems to only be half in it,” the insider noted.

SMH. What a sad case. Lamar is just wasting his life away. You would think he would have learned enough by watching his dad mess up but guess not… Hopefully he gets it together before he completely loses it all.
