A seminude photo of singer Jill Scott appeared online Wednesday following a mass-hacking that led to the leak of explicit photos from stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton. The scandal, which is also referred to as the Fappening, has mainly victimized white women, but Scott apparently became the first African-American woman to be affected by the privacy breach, HipHopWired.com wrote. It’s rumored that hackers broke into Apple’s iCloud storage system to grab risqué pictures of celebrities and post them to the Internet.
Scott confirmed one of the images on Twitter. She appears in front a bathroom mirror and is taking a “selfie-style” photograph and her bosom is covered with a black robe. Scott tweeted it was a “weight loss chronicle.” She denied the image that exposed her breasts was authentic. “I wish I had that space between my thighs,” she wrote. The tweet received more than 3,000 shares and nearly 500 favorites after it appeared on her account for 30 minutes.
The Fappening, the subreddit forum where a majority of alleged celebrity nudes were displayed, certainly isn’t the first time celebrity nudes have been leaked to the public. Kat Denning, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Vanessa Hudgens, Scarlett Johansson, Paris Hilton, Kesha, Rihanna and Christina Hendricks had intimate photos leaked, Heckler Spray reported.
Apparent nude images of Olympian McKayla Maroney and MTV star Liz Lee were removed by Reddit Tuesday after the site said the photos were taken when the girls were underage. It is against Reddit rules to post naked pictures of women under 18 on their site.
