Star Wars 7 Actor John Boyega Responds To Black Stormtrooper Criticism

John Boyega had a classy response to digruntled Star Wars 7 fans.

In the Star Wars 7 trailer Boyega pops up within the first few seconds wearing what appears to be a Stormtrooper’s armour.

While most people loved it, others couldn’t get their head around a black Stormtrooper in their beloved franchise.

Their reasoning behind this is that Stormtroopers are meant to be clones of Jango Fett, who isn’t black.

Boyega, a Star Wars fan himself, took to Instagram to thank everyone for their support, adding a parting shot at the end for those that are unhappy with a change being made to a fantasy film set in outer space.

He wrote: Thank you for all the love and support! The fan mail and fan art has added to my joy! Isn’t it crazy that Star Wars is actually happening?

‘I’m in the movie but as a star wars fan I am very excited! A year is a long time but it will be worth the wait.

‘To whom it may concern…Get used to it. :)’
