Random Ridiculousness: Pets Flying the Friendly Skies?

What has the world come to? We know pet lovers want to bring their dogs or cats any and everywhere but this might be taking things a bit too far.

Not comfortable sedating your kitten on a cross-country flight? Or sending your pup down to pet cargo?

The pet-friendly airline is expected to launch on July 14th and will offer pet-exclusive flights from Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C. for the “low” price of $250!

Founder Alysa Binder started the company because of the harsh conditions pets are sometimes subjected to while traveling in cargo. From 2007 until 2008, 29 animal deaths from flying were reported, as well as 13 injured animals and 7 lost pets.

So sad.

Each “pawsenger” will have their own crate in coach, and for those extra long flights, PetAirways will make potty-pit stops along the way so each and every pet is comfortable throughout the flight!

Teddy may need to be one of their first pawsengers!

Stopping along the way for poopie stops? Are you serious? It would take four days to get to LA from Chicago. Count us out.
