Lark Voorhies Denies Having Lupus
Is someone messing with Lark Voorhies or is Lark messing with us?
Someone on Instagram claiming to be Lark said she was suffering from Lupus, a rumor that’s long plagued the Saved By The Bell actress and blamed for her odd appearances. But as it turns out, the IG account, which has been going back and forth with Lark’s struggle rapping ex-husband is a fake, so says Lark’s reps.

“Lark has never been diagnosed with lupus. It’s upsetting her that people are coming out about it,” a rep for the Saved by the Bell alum tells PEOPLE exclusively after several news sites picked up the fake Instagram post. “She doesn’t want to be perceived as someone faking an illness.”
On Thursday, a post on the fake Instagram account appeared, in which someone claiming to be the actress said she’d been battling lupus since 2007. The post claimed the actress had faced bullying because of what the disease had done to her appearance.
The rep says Voorhies does not have an Instagram account, “and somebody has hacked her Twitter account to the point she is shutting it down.”
“There are several unverified Instagram accounts that are not hers,” the rep says.
