NBA Star To Pay Texas Woman $4,500 A Month In Plan To Raise Baby
NBA baller Kyrie Irving inked a deal with the mother of his baby daughter for child support and custody – but he had to make some major compromises.
With the help of a mediator, Irving and Andrea Wilson hashed out the parenting plan for their little girl, Azurie Elizabeth Irving, who was born last month. Their deal, filed in Tarrant County District Court, will ensure that Irving is a major part of his little girl’s life, but it’s not the arrangement that the baller was gunning for.
Irving originally asked that baby to be raised in Tarrant County, Tx., where Wilson is from. He also took a page from pal Chris Brown’s book, demanding that the case remain in Texas, where it’s thought that judges are less generous on child support than other states like California. Brown kept his case in the Lone Star state and successfully shot down his baby mama Nia Guzman’s request to increase child support to $15,000 a month from $2,000.

But the terms of the settlement, obtained by BOSSIP, state that Irving will shell out $4,500 a month to Wilson and pay for Azurie’s schooling – though both have to agree on what school she’ll attend. Irving also agreed to pay the baby’s medical bills, nannies, daycare and extracurricular activities.
If Wilson moves, Irving has to pay her moving fees as well as provide her a “housing allowance” on top of the child support.
Wilson gets primary custody of Azurie, but has to let Irving have the baby “for periods of possession that optimize the development of a close and continuing relationship between Kyrie Andrew Irving and the child the subject of the suit,” the settlement said.
Irving also agreed to pay Wilson’s lawyer fees up to $15,000.
The terms are valid only once the baby passes a paternity test.
