Landlord Says Singer Stopped Paying Rent After Filing For Divorce
Kelly Price and her estranged husband Jeffery Rolle have been evicted from their luxury California mansion for owing nearly $15,000 in back rent, BOSSIP has learned.
Price, 42, and Rolle were tossed from the L.A. area pad last month after they lost an eviction case by default for not paying the $4,800 rent for months on the five bedroom house they’d called home for almost two years.
An L.A. Superior Court judge ruled in favor of landlord Arjang Panah, ordering the ex-couple out on the street because neither Price nor Rolle ever responded to the landlord’s lawsuit.
Sheriffs officers later changed the locks on the 3,300 sq. ft. mansion in upscale south east Torrance, Ca.
“It took me three months to get them out,” Panah told BOSSIP. “They owe me three months rent!”

Panah sued the former couple in October 2015, around the time Price filed for divorce from her husband of 20 years. Panah said Price made the rent payments, but stopped paying when she split with Rolle and fled the home. Rolle and their daughter continued to live there, but Rolle never made any payments.
Panah said he confronted Rolle about the back rent, but Rolle made excuses about why he couldn’t pay right away. The landlord said Rolle and the daughter continued to live in the home rent free as the case made its way through the courts.
The landlord said the family left the house a mess – broken glass, a busted garage door and damage to the home’s expensive tile work. But that paled in comparison to what Panah said he found when he opened the fridge: maggots covered every surface of the appliance after the family apparently left food in the fridge and unplugged it.
“It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen,” he told us, adding that plans to sue the estranged couple for damages. “It took me a week just to clean the refrigerator.”
“I’m still in the process of cleaning up,” Panah added.

Panah said they seemed like a nice family, and Price paid him on time for 18 months before things went left. He said he’s just glad to have them out.
“I’m actually pretty happy about it,” he said. “I’m not happy about the past due rent…but it was better sooner than later.”
We’ve reached out to Price’s rep for comment.
