According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, it’s actually the 10th leading cause of death in the states, having 42,773 reported deaths per year. Inspired by Kehlani’s recent suicide survival, we’ve compiled a list of other celebs who’ve contemplated the tragic decision to take their lives.
Ronda Rousey
Former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey admitted she considered taking her life after a devastating loss to Holly Holm.
Oprah
Oprah has discussed her brush with suicide on record multiple times. She admitted that after an unexpected pregnancy she drank detergent to bring her life to an end. Fortunately the mogul was unsuccessful but she did lose the child shortly after giving birth. She described the ordeal as a “second chance”.
Cara Delevigne
The super model opened up about the anxiety and lack of control she felt over her career. She admitted to Vogue Magazine that she used to self harm and was “completely suicidal” at one point.
Caitlyn Jenner
In an interview at a conference for diversity, Caitlyn admitted that feelings of isolation led him to suicidal thoughts before he transitioned to Cait. The Olympian shared the thought that stopped him, “…what a terrible way to end my story”.
Kehlani
Just after being exposed her ex-boyfriend Party Next Door in a love triangle, Kehlani took to Instagram to share her near death experience. She opened up to her fans and haters about trying to take her life.
