What Is Wrong With This Picture
As if there wasn’t enough stigma on blacks and swimming! The American Red Cross apologized this weekend after uproar over this pool safety poster which shows a clear bias towards whites in all of it’s depictions of “Cool” and “Not Cool” behavior.

The American Red Cross say they’ve discontinued making the offensive signs and removed the poster and released the following statement to NBC:
“We deeply apologize for any misunderstanding, as it was absolutely not our intent to offend anyone,” The American Red Cross said in the statement.
An organization called Black Kids Swim says the posters have been in use since 2014!
Are you satisfied with the American Red Cross response? What can be done to prevent further offenses like this from happening? It’s great that Twitter was able to help so much in this case, riiiight?
