“I never imagined my life would be like that…”—Future
Future Talks Ciara And Russell Wilson In Rolling Stone
Future is currently covering Rolling Stone and in it, speaking candidly on his ex Ciara and her new man.
The Dirty Sprite rapper was profiled by writer Brian Hiatt who rode around with him in his Ferrari, watched as his credit card was declined at the Chanel store and spent time with him in the studio.
Things got especially interesting however when Ciara and her new relationship with Russell Wilson were brought up. According to Future he has no ill will towards CiCi who one of his unnamed friends in the piece dubbed “bougie as hell.”
Even as Ciara continues to sue him for libel, Future’s staying positive and focusing on recording.
On Ciara’s $15 defamation lawsuit against him:
The battle looms large in Future’s mind. As he steers his black Ferrari along a freeway one afternoon, a blunt in his left hand, he lets out a weird, extended half-groan, half-laugh – it lasts maybe 15 seconds – when I remind him we’re doing his first interview since Ciara’s suit.
“I can’t deal with it,” he says, eyes hidden by reflector shades. “I can’t even think about it. I never imagined my life would be like that: ‘I’m going to sue you and take away from you.'” The studio, then, becomes a place to hide, too: “I don’t know how to deal with something like that,” he says. “All I know is record, record, record, record.”
On wanting Ciara to be happy:
“A source close to Ciara accused Future of wishing failure upon her, but he denies that. “I would never wish that,” he says. “Her being successful, her being happy, helps me.” He starts addressing her directly. “I’m attached to you. If you’re happy, I’m happy. You’re connected for life. I don’t want you to go through this shit and for it to come back on my son, my kid. I want you to be in the best situation.”
He also gave a comment on CiCi’s fiance Russell Wilson whose been getting close to his future stepson Future.
Hit the flip.
On THAT picture of Russell Wilson pushing baby Future in a stroller:
He tries to explain, elliptically, why it upset him to see Wilson with his son, and why it’s a topic he wants to avoid going forward. “It’s something that’ll take more time for me. It ain’t even about [him] playing daddy. I don’t even want to think about it.
That’s my son forever. My son is going to be able to read this. He’s going to be able to look at those pictures. He’s going to be able to have a judgment for himself, and have a conversation with me man-to-man. That’s my blood. He is me. I am him. We is one.”
