Chrisette Michele’s Surprise Engagement Party
Over the Labor Day weekend Chrisette Michele’s fiancé Doug Ellison surprised her with a lavish engagement party to celebrate their union.
The songstress and Ellison who are tying the knot after dating in college, were in Oklahoma City where Chrisette is currently starring in the play adaption of Love Jones, when Ellison surprised her with a courtyard filled with 200 guests.
The #BecomingMrsEllisonParty which was sponsored by Myx Moscato, also included food courtesy of Jenelli, wife of slain rapper Chinx, who served guests mac and cheese, jerk wings, pulled pork, greens, baked ziti and cupcakes.
“I don’t get to see my loves often as I’m always traveling,” said Chrisette about the engagement party. “My man knew how important it was to pull together 200 of my dearest and closest. “When I tell you, I am so in love and happy and grateful and honored to be so loved, it’s no exaggeration,” she added.
