Cam Newton and Colin Kaepernick have had a rivalry going back a few years to when Kaep was mimicking Cam’s Superman poses in a playoff game between the two. Now Cam is the defending MVP and Kaepernick is on the bench. However things are deeper than that. Kaepernick has been the leading sports figure in the Black Lives Matter movement and Cam Newton has taken a more “All Lives Matter” approach.
