Check Scammer With Bank Of America Tattoo Sentence To 33 Months In Prison
Not sure which is worse, bragging about crimes on social media, or getting your victims logo tattooed on your body.
An NYDailyNews story states that an NYC crip gang member, Gabriel Patterson, has been sentenced to 33 months in prison for running check scams on various financial institutions. Gwap-gettin’ Gabe takes great pride in his criminal acumen as evidenced by the BANK OF AMERICA TATTOO on his arm!
As much as we see lawyers use rappers’ lyrics against them in court, you KNOW the prosecutor couldn’t WAIT to address this ignorant azz ink in court:
“The defendant’s commitment to bank fraud is extreme,” said Assistant Brooklyn U.S. Attorney Allon Lifshitz.
The prosecutor added: “Indeed, he has even tattooed the logo of Bank of America — one of his victims — on the inside of his left elbow reflecting the pride he takes in his crimes.”
Gabriel’s lawyer Mitchell Golub tried to downplay the tattoo, but c’mon man:
“It is what it is,” Golub told the Daily News on Tuesday. “The government is just saying what they assume it means. He (Patterson) was just an immature kid — I don’t think any great thinking went into it.”
Bruh, this is a VERY specific tattoo. This isn’t one of those things where Gabriel walks into a tattoo shop and says “just gimme whatever” and the artist just HAPPENED to give him a BoA tat.
Enjoy the bing!
