Will Smith's Ex-Wife Posts Moving Tribute To His Late Father
R.I.P. Will Smith’s Father Passes Away, Ex-Wife Sheree Fletcher Pays Tribute

Will Smith’s Beloved Father Has Passed Away, Is Mourned Publicly By Ex-Wife
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Smith family as we share the sad news that his father Willard Carroll Smith Sr. has passed.
Smith’s Ex-wife Sheree Fletcher posted a moving tribute to her former father-in-law, grandfather to her and Will’s son Will Smith III, aka Trey.
This is so sweet — almost makes us feel like we knew him.
Will Smith spoke highly of his father publicly and Daily Mail reports that the book “Will Smith: A Biography” reveals an anecdote about his father driving him to rougher Philadelphia neighborhoods to show him the effects of drug use. Here’s a few quotes:
On the fear of his father if he ever took drugs, he is quoted as saying: ‘I felt my father would kill me. Literally.’
Will has also previously praised his dad as a ‘steady and positive figure’ in his life. He once said: ‘Dad was tough but not tyrannical.
‘He kept me in line. He’d get this look that said, ‘One more step, Will, and it’ll get ugly. ‘He was an independent businessman – he set up refrigeration in supermarkets – and he always provided for us. He’s a steady and positive figure in my life.’
Neither Will nor Jada have posted anything on social media since Willow’s birthday last Monday, October 31. Jaden had a MSFTS meet up in London today which he posted about on Instagram and Twitter, but didn’t mention his grandfather’s passing.
Willow posted this today though:

Which could be an artistic expression of grief.
Definitely sending love and light over to the Smith’s and Sheree during this tough time.
