“I was pissed!”—Rickey Smiley
Rickey Smiley Defends His Son Malik Smiley
People are steaming mad at Rickey Smiley’s teenage son and the comedian/radio host is responding.
On a recent episode of “Rickey Smiley: For Real”, Rickey’s 15-year-old son Malik was seen going on a blind date with a black girl.
When his cousin, who set him up on the date, asked him how it was going Malik told him he wasn’t feeling it. Why? Because he doesn’t find black girls attractive.
“Her face,” said Malik. “Black females are not attractive to me. I look at them like my sisters… I went to an all-white school. Sometimes people have different tastes, and I don’t have a taste for her.”
W….T….F…??? (6:50 mark)
Rickey has since said the producer on the show made his son say that…
and he’s highly disappointed.
Rickey addressed the controversy on his morning show; hit the flip.
On the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” Rickey accused the producers of having an agenda and he’s vowing that comments like that will NEVER happen again.
“Last week my son just coincidentally text me and said dad, ‘I made a mistake.’ He said he’s getting blowed up on social media because of his statement about not being attracted to black women.
[…] Sometimes people will get into a situation with a certain agenda. if our target audience is black women why would we have that air? I was PISSED.
Malik also called in and said that his response was scripted and he didn’t mean it.
“I really did not mean it in that way,” said Malik. “He gives me a script and I say exactly what’s off that script. They told me to say that. I did not say that.
They must have cut this out, I said that I had bad experiences with a lot of black females and I just want to try something different. […] I copied exactly what they told me to say.”
What do YOU think about Malik saying he was given a script to diss black women???
