Vetements “Designs” Plain White Hanes T-Shirt For Over $700
One French design collective is under serious side-eye surveillance by the black community for selling over-size white T-shirts for $740. Vetements sells the collaborative Hanes pieces at Nordstrom, listed here. But, why so pricey??? Remember when; in the early 2000’s, you could get any color tall t-shirt 3-for-$1o, Harlem shake or snap your fingers in it? And then, police associated the uniform with gang activity.
Why are white t-shirts all of a sudden so stylish? Chicago artist, Ferrari Sheppard point’s out that a one time, young black males were profiled by police who wore these types of oversized t-shirts.
