Ohio Teacher Put On Leave After SnapChatting About “Broke” Prom Splurgers
A middle school teacher and track coach from Ohio offended parents after a snap chat rant, according to News 5 Cleveland. Caitlin Cormack, used a selfie to rant about parents, students and their finances. On the post she wrote:
These damn kids and parents…not enough money for school supplies and passing grades but out here renting horses.
Well, damn!
A parent confirmed that the snide teacher was referring to Bedford High School’s recent prom, where a group of students arrived on horse and carriage. One parent says Cormack’s remark was “disrespectful’. “I think it’s very disrespectful to the parents,” Bouldin said. “We do pay taxes in this city, so that teachers can make a nice salary to do their jobs, not to comment about our kids.”
The school’s superintendent, Andrea Celico says the incident is under investigation as the teacher is put on leave.
