Anyone who truly knows me knows that I have always had a special love for Bey. The inspiration behind this picture stems from the appreciation I have for you and everything you're about. These past four years of college have truly been the longest journey of my life, however through it all your music has helped me in more ways than one. Since freshman year, there was always that one lyric or that one album that touched my heart and soul as I dealt with whatever I was going through at the time. Whether it was a heartbreak, losing Meme and Paw Paw, late night studying, on the road to my volleyball games, or questioning whether I was good enough to do any of this you always spoke to me through your lyrics and reassured me that I was made for this. Your work ethic is untouchable and motivates me to try and be the best me that I can be. You're more than a hometown hero, you make me proud to be a black girl from Houston just trying to conquer the world. Thank you for all you've done. -Ashlynn🐝 @beyonce @mstinalawson @yvettenoelschure #GraduatingWithHonors #studentathlete #Beyhive #BeyhiveHouston #beyoncé #gradszn #Houston #hbcugrad #hbcugirls #blackgirlmagic #blackgirlsgraduate #TexasSouthernUniversity #TSU #Txsu 📸: @adrionn Special shoutout to my sister for this vicious sideburn swoop and amazing shot💕✨
It has been one hell of a journey! But if college has taught me anything, it's that we are never walking alone. I have taken time off, transferred universities, endured many sleepless nights, & shed my fair share of tears. Not to mention, starting off this year with no idea how I'd pay the balance on my tuition. This struggle taught me to lean not on my own understanding. Trust God even when there seems like there is no way out. He will ALWAYS make a way. I just prayed with faith and expectancy, and kept pushing on like my prayers had already been answered! With all that being said, I graduate in 2 weeks. I received several new scholarships this year that covered most of my tuition. The road may have been tough but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Overcoming these adversities has made me into an entirely different woman, the woman I believe God intended for me to be. Forever grateful ❤️
"I chose Spelman because I was excited to be around individuals who not only looked liked me, but thought like me as well. Spelman's valuable lessons have taught me that I posses everything I need to change the world." #whyhbcu #HBCU #myhbcu #hbcupride #hbculove #hbcumade #hbcugrad #blackisbeautiful #blacklove #blackexcellence #gradszn #graduation #grad #classof2017 #2017 #spelman17 #SpelmanCollege #Spelman #spelmanalumna #blackgirlmagic #blackgirlsrock #blackgirlsgraduate #AUC #atlanta
