Laura Govans Talks Gloria, New Bae, Ex And Basketball Wives
The Govan sisters have been through A LOT in their personal lives since they popped up on the Hollyweird scene via Basketball Wives. From tumultuous baby daddy breakups and even publicly sparring with each other. Back in 2016, Laura accused her sister Gloria of sleeping with her ex, Gilbert Arenas. Both Gilbert and Gloria fired back at Laura publically, denying the claim. Gloria insinuated Laura must’ve had a demon on her to think and say something as conniving as that. Since the beef, we haven’t seen the Govan sister hang tough like they used to, at all.
Laura spoke about her relationship with Glo on the Domenick Nati Show. Domineck ask if she think she and GLoria are as close as they were, and Laura said “oh, no!”
We really don’t have much of a sister relationship. We keep it really tight for our children. Our kids play together all the time. They’re truly cousins, they have eachothers back.
Laura was also asked about Colin Kaepernick and how she witnessed Gilbert get harassed by racists on the road:
I saw a lot. I remember going into certain cities – that will remain nameless – they would yell ‘You n*gger,’ ‘You monkey.’ I used to be like, ‘Wait a minute! Is this happening?!’
On her co-parenting relationship now:
I don’t really pay attention to his shenanigans, and his rants. I don’t get off into that with Gilbert. I need him to get on my page. I need him to get on board with where I am. I just want to co-parent. I just want to deal with solutions. If the kids ain’t doing good in school…let’s get them a tutor. If the lights are turned off…n-gga pay the bill. What I believe and what he believes are two different things as far as parenting is concerned. I think he’s needed (as a parent) so I encourage it.

On plastic surgeries:
I’ve had a mommy makeover, my breast and my stomach done. I’ve had 2 and a half liters of skin removed. My nose was broken, but it was a Kaiser nose fix. My chin was broken, so I had that fixed. I had some liposuction.
On her new boyfriend:
I like ‘em white! I have a boyfriend now. He’s actually Moroccan, but he’s white. He acts white, he looks white. Sometimes I’m like, ‘Damn! you’re hella white’ and we just laugh.’ I’m happy.
On returning to Basketball Wives:
The talk is there, but I don’t think so. I think at this point in my life, if I could go on there and be somebodies mentor then I can do that, but not so much just to talk crap and banter. That’s really not my life anymore.
