Papa John’s Founder Out As CEO
Go seasons some food—cause that trash azz pizza of yours doesn’t have any. That’s the message we’re sending to John “Papa John” Schnatter of Papa John’s Pizza who’s been downgraded from his current position.
As previously reported Schnatter blasted black NFL players for their police brutality protests and claimed that they were hurting sales of the cardboard adjacent pizza pies. For that, he was dragged back to globs of garlic sauce for the racist comments.
CNBC reports that John Schnatter will step down as CEO next month. Papa John’s confirmed that Schnatter remains chairman but will be replaced as chief executive by Chief Operating Officer Steve Ritchie on Jan. 1.

The company also declined to confirm that “Papa John’s” white supremacy pleasing comments marked the move—but it’s CLEAR that they played a part.
