Ryan Cameron Leaving Radio
Atlanta radio is suffering a loss. Ryan Cameron, the Atlanta media icon that’s been on-air at V-103 for nearly two decades, has announced his resignation. Cameron made the announcement today alongside his cohost of six years Wanda Smith.
“I have done everything I can in this field,” said Cameron according to The AJC. “It’s time for another chapter in my life.”
Cameron has been on-again and off-again at V-103 Atlanta since 1991. He previously left in 1996 to do mornings at Atlanta’s Hot 97.5 (107.9) for eight years.
The AJC adds that Cameron is leaving radio to join Rakanter, a branding firm where he’ll be able to work with AT&T, Coca-Cola, the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Jets and the Australian rugby team.
Cameron’s final day will be Friday, February 2, so far a replacement for him has not been named.
We’ll miss you Ryan!
