800K?! Twitter Is Up In Arms Over Tiffany Haddish’s Netflix Deal…But What’s Real?
Tiffany Haddish’s Controversial Netflix Deal
Mo’Nique has caused a big fuss over fair treatment based on her claim that she only got offered $500K for a comedy special. The reactions have led to fights over fair treatment, who is right and who deserves what. And it’s led to some epic back-and-forths with Whoopi and LeNARD.
Now, Twitter has brought up Tiffany Haddish’s Netflix deal as a point of contention.
Netflix gave Tiffany Haddish 800k.

There are lots of claims out there about Tiffany’s deal and literally all of them are misinformed.
First, there has been no confirmation that Haddish’s deal was even $800K. The show she’s doing is an animated series and not even a comedy special, so the contractual ramifications are totally different. It’s really apples and oranges and fake news.
Still, Twitter is up in arms so let them eat cake.
And also paying Mo'Nique, Tiffany Haddish and Wanda Sykes $20 million each…not that they were asking for that, but let's use that number as an example..that's peanuts to a company like Netflix. This is a marriage of the bottom line, sexism and racism. Period.

And if Haddish hot 800k for voicework (should get more), giving Monique 500k with a bunch of claims on her content & stipulations looks even worse. 😬

Folks keep bringing up Tiffany Haddish's deal but she is happy with it. So why would you tie it into Monique's situation!?!?! She getting more money for voice over work than Mo for a standup special.

To anyone saying "$500k is a lot! $800k is a lot!" re: Mo'Nique and Tiffany Haddish's respective offers from Netflix…that's not a lot when you take into account that these Netflix deals are often very restrictive in terms of where/how you can work the year you sign them.

What's funny is Tiffany Haddish was the "funniest, hottest, most relevant comedienne in the world" til we found out she wasn't getting paid what she was worth either. All of a sudden it's "She isn't funny. Her SNL sucked. She not that relevant."

Tiffany Haddish IS arguably the most relevant and successful comedian at the moment and Netflix only gave her 800K? I don't get it. Netflix told Mo'Nique that they only look at resumes, so what's the tea? Is it because Tiffany Haddish is "new?"

So Tiffany Haddish got a multimillion dollar Netflix deal before this whole Monique thing even took place!? It’s almost like they pay based on viewer demand. pic.twitter.com/9dnIow4sUG

I want y’all to keep this same energy when Tiffany Haddish gets the bag from Netflix. I wanna hear it’s stil a race or gender thing and not a relevancy thing. pic.twitter.com/o0VYicpQZN
— OXTAIL GAWD (@ThatDudeMCFLY) February 23, 2018
y'all telling me TIFFANY HADDISH was also worth less than DeRay in 2017? Y'all ready to concede to a pattern yet or what??
— shubbie yeeks 🇳🇬 (@shOoObz) February 27, 2018
Tiffany Haddish got offered less than a mill and she’s huge right now so the relevancy argument y’all were holding against Monique is definitely null and void now.
— 🍒 (@delafro_) February 27, 2018
During Monique’s interview, Lenard was certain that TIffany Haddish was gonna get a multi-million $ deal bc she’s “hot right now”. On the Breakfast Club this morning he said “she’s not selling out arenas yet” as justification for the 800k deal.
Which one is it? 🤔

Monique funnier than Tiffany Haddish but pic.twitter.com/rbuoILLJeq
— Chi Like Da Flatiron (@Ipraisewomen) February 27, 2018
Y’all swore up and down that someone more relevant like Tiffany Haddish would definitely get millions but the gag is… Netflix only gave her 800K.
Somebody plz make that make sense. pic.twitter.com/MjIhky4EF1

P.S. It was resume then relevancy then Netflix not being focused on comedy when she was relevant. Then, it was "Tiffany Haddish could get a big amount someday."
But, if you don't like Tiffany, it'll be "relax. She only did one cool movie."

LeNard was assured that a black Tiffany Haddish could easily get a multi-million deal from Netflix because she's relevant and Black Neck Twitter came runnin bare-foot to co-sign and she only got $800K so y'all gonna have to explain pic.twitter.com/QwtQxnlKn1

Tiffany Haddish is POPPING right now, so explain to me why she couldn’t have gotten a million dollar deal from Netflix? I need answers
