Elaine Welteroth Blasts Racist Uber Operator
Former “Teen Vogue” Editor-In-Chief Elaine Welteroth is sharing her awful experience with Uber recently. She says she asked the driver to take her to her correct location, instead of the side street he insisted she walk from, and when she refused he called 911. The entire situation escalated after Elaine turned her camera on him.
As she recorded and asked why she was being reported to the police (highly unnecessary), the driver says she hit him. A passerby hears the entire argument and yells “no, she didn’t”. Disgusting!
Then he closes the door on her arm, leaving her bruised. This guy can’t be serious!

Elaine says she shared the hard-to-watch video because black women are constantly libeled with the “angry black woman” title. She was actually real calm, SMH. According to The Grio, her social media post caught the attention of Uber board member Ariana Huffington, reached out to Welteroth and apologized for what happened.
That driver is now being investigated.
