Sade Could Be Giving Us Another Album Soon
Sade is working on a new album.
Her collaborator Stuart Matthewman revealed in a brand new interview that he and the singer have “a bunch of songs” for a follow-up to her 2010 album “Soldier of Love.” “[Sade’s] not interested in the fame or any of that [other] stuff,” he said in his feature with Rated R&B. “She likes to put out art. So when it’s ready, it will come out.”
It might come out sooner than we think though, since the songtress seems to be in the mood for releasing music. Sade recently released her first new song in seven years for the soundtrack of the Ava DuVernay-directed film, A Wrinkle in Time.
Matthewman also mentioned that Sade’s label, Epic Records, “knows there’s no point in nagging us or giving us deadlines. It doesn’t really help the process.” So there’s that.
Good news: there’s new Sade. Bad news: we never know when we’ll get it. Sigh.
