🚨Long Speech Alert 🚨 Yesterday I competed in my very first fitness competition in the bikini division where I took home a first place win.🥇When I decided to take on this challenge I didn’t know much about this sport at all but what I did know is that it would take pure dedication and hard work. These past 12 weeks of prep were not easy at all and could not have done it without my support system. First I want to thank my husband @philgood50 for believing in me the min I told him I wanted to compete and to show just how much he believed in me, he did every single workout with me in the gym 6 days a week and stuck to my diet plan. His support is unmatched and I’m thankful he enables me to shine bright in any and everything I choose to do. 🥰 To the absolute best trainers ever, @workoutkingspro thank you for pushing me through those rough days and and never allowing me to give anything less than 100%. 💪🏾@mignoncyrelle I want to thank you for lighting a fire in me to go after something I thought I could never do and introducing me to the 🐐, my coach @ryanhinton . Thanks coach for taking on a “newby” (don’t call me that ever again👊🏾). When this guy says “Trust the process”… just do it and shut up!😌 And to my posing coach @jazzyfresh.ifbbpro thanks for working the awkwardness out of me lol! Shout out to my bff @charliemonroeg for the food prep and for keeping my life together in so many ways.🙏🏾 And to the rest of my family and friends that have shown me tremendous support these last few months, I seriously can’t thank you enough. I needed every bit of your motivation. Y’all kept me going and kept me accountable. I hope I continue to make you guys proud and maybe inspire you to set out and accomplish whatever you have your heart set on. ❤️ This is just the beginning and I’m excited to see where this sport takes me. 😝
We think it’s so dope that her hubby trained with her and was so supportive. The win is an even BIGGER accomplishment because just last June, Ashley and Philip Wheeler welcomed their second son, Phox Philip Wheeler.
Can you imagine having a baby in June and taking home a gold medal for your bikini body the following March? Kudos to her for putting in such hard work. She deserves all the rewards an awards!
