Kylie Jenner Talks “Self-Made” Controversy
Kylie Jenner didn’t exactly turn nothing into something, but for some reason Forbes insists on referring to her as “self-made.” Now in an interview with the New York Times, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star admits the “self-made” tag isn’t exactly accurate.
“I can’t say I’ve done it by myself,” Kylie told the publication. The first-time mom does have one rebuttal, adding “If they’re just talking finances, technically, yes, I don’t have any inherited money.”
Still, she says, she definitely didn’t do it all on her own…
“But I have had a lot of help and a huge platform,” she adds.
Elsewhere she says posting on social media helps grow her brand, but holding onto what little privacy she can is a priority in her household. From NYT:
“Yeah, a huge part of my business is on social media,” Kylie said. “But it’s important to take those personal moments.” Except for the camera crew? She laughed. “Besides national television, I like to keep it really private.”
